Set in an old timey pioneer village with huge fields of grass, historic buildings, and the largest authentic Native American teepee in the state, your family will get a great feel of what life was like in the early days of our country. Oakley Independence Day Rodeo and Celebration

Set in the middle of the Rocky Mountains about an hour east of downtown Salt Lake, Oakley may be a small town, but it is a small town that really knows how to party. Independence Day revelry is incredible there with a 5K race, parade, rodeo, patriotic program, a barbecue, and an impressive firework show to end the day with a literal bang.

Orem City Colonial Fest and Cries of Freedom Presentation

If you’re all about historical authenticity, the Colonial Fest in Orem, Utah is the perfect place for you to “geek out” in a patriotic way.  You’ll feel as though you’ve stepped back in time to the early days of our country’s birth with a myriad of fun and educational activities.  There are colonial artisans, exhibits, and demonstrations ranging from cannon firings to colonial children’s chores. Watch a full Continental Army and British Redcoat battle or take in unique aspects of frontier life including an apothecary shop, blacksmith, and printmaker studio.

The Cries of Freedom Presentation just next door to the Colonial Fest features incredible patriotic music and a special ceremony to honor the lives of fallen veterans. Bring tissues for the beautiful and touching tribute.
